About scholarships
A scholarship pays some or all of the cost of your education — tuition, and often accommodation, flights, and a living stipend. The strongest international awards open to Ghanaians (Chevening, Commonwealth, DAAD, Mastercard Foundation) are fully funded, while local schemes such as GETFund and the Scholarships Secretariat cover fees and allowances at Ghanaian institutions.
Most scholarships judge three things: academic merit, financial need, and your story — why you, why this course, and what you will do with it. Start gathering transcripts, references, and a strong personal statement months before the deadline; late, rushed applications are the single most common reason strong candidates miss out.
Legitimate scholarships never charge an application or processing fee. If a listing asks you to pay to apply, close it — and report it to us.
